At twenty-three years old, Iris Alleyene isn't known to any government institutions around the world. At the tender age of eight, she was stripped of her fairly normal life after her mother's cover was blown as one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Now with the career of a high-profile thief, her identity remains hidden with the help of people she knows, and those she never knew existed.
One day, a man who is notorious for extreme hijacking and aquatic terrorism is assigned to work with Iris. Even with their differences and clashing personalities, they have to make it work for they will be enduring the next year side by side.
All the while, a sinister hidden agenda is brewing within the darkness.
Together they have to get to the bottom of the threat that opposes everyone's mere existence within the Ghost Society, and beyond it. Tensions will sharply increase, causing everyone to question the ones closest to them, and who is truly on their side.
However, the most underlying question is...who is even real?
C H A P T E R 1
* * * * 4 Stars!
{Positives} Well, there's a lot positive about this chapter. Basically, this part talks about Iris. Everything is about her-- her routine, her perspective, her mindset, her attitude and even a little bit of background about what she does and the things she has. I can say that this is a witty part by how it manages to develop the focal character. It is apparent that the author of this work has rich vocabulary by the way the words are carefully and intelligently chosen and applied.
{Negatives} There are just few and minor grammatical mistakes in terms of consistency, which is not really bothering, at all. A piece of advice would be, to limit the lines of some of the paragraphs. Too long of a chunk might disinterest the readers.
(Inner-queen} I totally liked the descriptions. Consider that a plus! I love the you-go-girl attitude of Iris. In the society nowadays, one rarely comes across female bad-ass, the role is always given to the male species, which is kind of part. Lo and behold! The author managed to break some norms in here. Pretty inspiring!
C H A P T E R 2
* * * * * 5 Stars!
{Positives} What can I say, 5 stars!!! The scenes in this chapter are very exhilarating and surprisingly action-packed in all angles. I loved how the author characterized Rehmi in this part, considering the quite short of exposure she has in this chapter, Rehmi's voice and attitude was intelligently crafted. The description, again, is excellent for this genre. The author did a great job in illustrating the breath-taking scenes.
(Inner-queen} I love the kind of a surprise near the end part of this chapter. Iris is truly a bad-ass and I like her for that!!! #WomenEmpowerment on the rise here!!! Totally gasp-provoking!
After reading the two chapters plus the prologue, I recommend this work not just for the Wattpad users, but also for the people out there who are not familiar with Wattpad. Such books like these are view-worthy. And yes, they do exist in Wattpad.
